This video is so well designed, ma sha Allah. When I watched it, it reminded me of "Time" and the statement of AlHasan AlBasri, "I have met people for whom TIME was more precious to them than how preciously you people covet coins of gold and silver."
And AlHasan AlBasri, may Allah have mercy on him, also said, "There is not a day that the sun rises upon except that it calls out, 'O Son of Adam, I am today: a new creation and your actions I am witnessing. Use me wisely for I shall never return to you until the Day of Judgement.'"
I care deeply about this topic of time. It's the first step you must master towards becoming a leader.

I do have a question and I would really love to see it answered.
In your work, wether it is halaqas, seminars or other, there is this recurrent theme of being a leader.
Isn't that the opposite of what Allah asks us to be(a slave)? A slave of his of course, not what we have become, slaves of people.
Didn't the prophet sws say that those who deserve power the most are those who are not looking for it?
Shouldn't our first focus be how to better be slaves of Allah rather than how to be leaders?
And subhan Allah we see that whenever we humble ourselves and become good slaves of Allah he elevates us and gives us that power that so many are seeking.
I would really love for you to explain more the basis of this "obsession"(can't find a better word) of being a leader

This issue of leadership just came up among a brother and myself and the point the brother was making is that we have delved so far into the approach of the kufar, inproducing video's-giving talks-and roeming the earth for fame (?fortune) noone will step up and truely lead the ummah as they should and as people of knowledge are suppossed too. no-one talks of the true leadership of the Khalifa and definately no-one promotes the idea anymore. We'er stuck on leading ourselves by ourselves into the dismal arena of money (that we never grasp-DUNYA), style that defies islam, and speach of the kufar, and worst of all the disunity of shayton!! It would be nice to see you brothers who are gifted with speach to come together and lead this ummah back to the meassage of Allah and the useful sunnah of Rasulullah that we the Muslims, Mu'min, Muhsineen become leaders of the world!!!!

Allah taught us to make dua: {...And make us leaders to the believers}
Prophet, sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam, said, "Every one of you is a shepherd (leader) and responsible for their flock."
Leading humans does not contradict with being a slave of Allah. The opposite of slave is master. A leader is not a "slave master"
And the hadith you are referring to, about not seeking leadership, is referring to government positions for those unqualified.

Jazakumullahu Khairan. I translated and made this video after hearing the heartfelt nature and beauty of the words Sheikh Shinqitee in this lecture. I pray that Allah swt allows us to shed tears like the ones shed over this video, and experience emotions like the ones experienced over this video, each and every time we read the Qur'an and listen to the recitation of the Qur'an. For by Allah, there is nothing any of the creation can say except that Our Lord hasn't already said with greater eloquence and deeper impact.

SubhanAllah, all Praise be to Allah Subhana wa ta'ala. May HE Bless everyone involved in putting much effort into making this video possible by HIS Will. Such a wonderful and insightful production.
What stands out is when Allah Subhana wa ta'ala turns one's sins into good deeds after one sincerely repents and feels the pain within oneself. How true this is, and when one strives to do good deeds for HIS Sake and hopes for Jannah, then the feeling is that Allah Subhana wa ta'ala has truly accepted one's repentance.
And there are just no words to describe this feeling and the sense of Gratitude to Allah that comes with it. Humbled is one that just came to mind.
May Allah Subhana wa ta'ala help us to better ourselves and help us to always be conscious of HIM, Allahumma Ameen!

SubhanAllah, as creation we fret so much, when there really is no need to. The Kahliq, the Malik e Mulk truly safeguards His creation.
